Base Layers

Young rugby players are just as prone to muscle fatigue as adults and so kid’s base layers are playing an increasing role in the development and protection of young athletes.

Skins, Under Armour and Canterbury, all leading authorities in base layer clothing, have expanded their product range to incorporate kid’s base layers into their collections. From compression leggings and shorts to long and short sleeve base layer tops. The basic premise is to introduce a second skin which can function in warm or old conditions and alleviate the build-up of lactic acid in active muscles.

Designed to be worn under additional clothing, base layers utilise their unique fabrics to wick moisture away from the skin and help regulate your body temperature.
